M. Ismail Abdelkader, a physiotherapist with over a decade of experience working in Canada and the Middle East. He received his Bachelor of Physical Therapy from Cairo University in Egypt and went on to become the youngest Senior Physiotherapist, in 2010, at Qasr El Eyni Hospital (the largest hospital in the region).
He is also certified as an Aquatic Therapist through the Canadian Aquatic Rehab; he specializes in sports medicine, musculoskeletal injuries, and Aquatic Therapy.
Not only Ismail is an Adjunct Lecturer at University of Toronto, but also he is the President and the co-founder of the Ontario Internationally Educated Physical Therapists Bridging Program (OIEPB) Alumni Association. Also, he sits on the OIEPB Advisory Council Committee.
Ismail’s approach is strongly informed by evidence-based active therapy rather than more passive modalities; pain management on its own is not rehab. Ismail has always had a deep interest in utilizing multifocal techniques such as Soft Tissue Mobilizations, Soft Tissue Release, joint mobilizations, trigger point releases, and therapeutic modalities to help people increase their wellness, quality of life, and live their best life.
