COVID-19 Update

Don Valley Health and Wellness would like to provide you with an update on our response to the growing global concerns around COVID-19 (“coronavirus”). The health, safety and well-being of our patients and employees is our top priority. While the Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the current public health risk associated with coronavirus is low, we continue to monitor for developments very closely. We also encourage everyone to stay-up-to-date through Canada’s Public Health website.

New Check-in Procedure and Cleaning Protocols

At Don Valley Health and Wellness we are excited to announce that we are now fully re-open. As always during this time of COVID-19, we are concerned with your health, wellness, and safety. Now that we can see patients again, we have worked hard to come up with the proper solutions to make our office environment a safe place to be.

That’s why we are implementing a new client check-in procedure and cleaning protocol. The goal of which is to make our offices as sanitary as possible for you, your family, and our staff. We’re overjoyed to be able to serve you again at our sports and physiotherapy rehabilitation centre and can’t wait to see you.

As part of getting back to a new normal, these procedures are going to be a top-priority. Just to let you know our staff members and clinicians are also going to be wearing masks at all times going forward. Clinicians will wear disposable gloves while performing any treatments or services.

10 Easy Steps for the Check-in Procedure

  1. Form a line at each designated line spot.
  2. Wear a face mask (our receptionist has extras if you don’t have one).
  3. Use hand sanitizer before you check-in.
  4. Complete COVID-19 screening questionnaire.
  5. Get a contactless temperature check.
  6. Sign daily attendance sheet.
  7. Sanitize your hands again.
  8. Have a seat 6 feet apart in the waiting area from others.
  9. After treatment, sanitize your hands.
  10. Sign out and sanitize before leaving the clinic.

Extra Cleaning and Sanitizing We Are Doing at the Clinic

Multiple times per day we are going over all high contact surface areas and busy traffic ones with industrial strength bleach based cleaning products. The use of plexiglass face screens also helps to fight the spread of germs and those will be cleaned often.

Hand sanitizers are at the entrance area of our office and by the reception desk. You can also find additional sanitizers in the treatment rooms and gym areas, so there is always a way to clean your hands often while in our wellness centre.

Other Helpful Contactless Options

We are also encouraging all patients to schedule their appointments online in order to limit time at the practice when you can. There are also contactless payment solutions available so that you have less interaction with our staff at the reception desk area.

If you are still unsure about coming into our offices at this time, we do offer virtual consultations for some services and post-treatment consultations over a video conferencing app. Your comfort level is of great concern to us.

Our Staff Cares About You

Our entire staff is also making sure to come into work only when completely healthy. Routine monitoring of temperature checks and possible symptoms is something each of our employees is aware of for everyone’s health and wellness.

We also hope and politely request that our clients will also self-monitor their wellness. If you are feeling unwell in any way please refrain from visiting our clinic in person. When we work together on this situation, it’s going to ensure that everyone’s health and wellness is our top-priority.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our new procedures at Don Valley Health and Wellness. We greatly look forward to seeing all of our clients very soon and know that these procedures will go the distance to make sure everyone is safer and healthier during COVID-19.
