On staff and in the clinic, Dr. Frank Mastrogiacomo is an orthopedic surgeon from Toronto East General. Dr. Mastrogiacomo’s special interest is in lower extremity reconstruction, specifically, primary and complex revision arthroplasty of the hip and knee, sports injury surgery of the knee, forefoot reconstruction, and orthopedic trauma management.

As a certified chiropractor, Dr. Gavris graduated with clinical honours from Parker Chiropractic College and is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, Ontario Chiropractic Association, International Chiropractic Association, and the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. In addition to a variety of chiropractic techniques, including low force and long lever release techniques, Dr. Gavris is also trained in kinesio sport taping and active release techniques.

As a physiotherapist, Costa has completed his Masters of Science in physical therapy from the University of Hartford. He has completed his level 5 diploma in Manual Manipulative Physiotherapy through the orthopedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Costa focuses on a variety of Manual therapy techniques – Acupuncture, Soft tissue/Neural mobilization and exercise prescription to treat a wide variety of orthopedic injuries.
Lada is a registered chiropody member of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario and is licensed under the Chiropody Act. She is also a member of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine (CFPM), and a member of Ontario Society of Chiropodist (OSC). Lada has been a practicing chiropodist since 2003. Lada graduated from University of Toronto with her B.Sc., and The Michener Institute as a D.CH.
A Chiropodist is a qualified foot specialist. The practice of chiropody is the assessment at the foot and the treatment and prevention of diseases, disorders or dysfunctions of the foot by therapeutic; orthotics or palliative means. In Canada, Chiropodist and Podiatrist are interchangeable terms, and are the only regulated foot professionals educated exclusively in the assessment and treatment of foot disorders.
Naturopathic Doctor, Birth Doula
Dr. Giyeon (Gi) Park is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and birth doula (professional birth assistant).
Gi graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and the University of Waterloo (Bachelor of Science Degree, Biomedical Science). She obtained in-depth medical training in naturopathic and allopathic modalities, including acupuncture. She completed a one-year internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.
Gi has also completed a naturopathic doula training, which allows her to integrate naturopathic skills to support women and their partners before, during and after the birth of their child.

Shobhna (Shobie) Kapoor is a graduate of Elmcrest College of Applied Health Sciences with a Diploma in Massage Therapy where she won the award for top academic achievement. She holds a Bachelor of Sciences (Honours) degree from The University of Western Ontario and a Diploma in Shiatsu Therapy from The Living Earth School of Natural Therapies.

As a registered massage therapist, Kirsten brings a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience in therapeutic and soft tissue massage, and treats a diverse range of patients including those with sports-related, repetitive strain, chronic and acute injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and pregnancy.

Liz received her Massage Therapy and Hydrotherapy Certificate from the Canadian Therapeutic College in Burlington in 2006. She began her career focused on pregnancy massage and women’s health. Two years into her massage therapy career she made the move to Banff, Alberta to work at the Fairmont Willow Stream Spa (the second highest-rated spa in North America).
There she had the opportunity to be taught directly by a Dorn Method Instructor and Native Shaman who molded the roots of their methodology within her treatments – Balance (better known as homeostasis). Dorn Method focuses on gently re-aligning the pelvis/spine to create physical balance, while the practices learned through Native healing arts creates balance of the energetic self.

Katy is a Certified Athletic Therapist recognized by the Canadian and Ontario Athletic Therapist’s Associations. She obtained an Honours B.A. in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Athletic Therapy from Mount Royal University in Calgary. She has also obtained certifications in personal training, soft tissue release, and athletic taping, and is regularly involved in continuing education.
Daniel Stasiuk, BSc(Clin. Sci), MHSc(Osteo), CSCS, is an manual osteopathic practitioner with the Don Valley Health & Wellness – Sports & Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Centre team. Mr. Stasiuk specializes in running injuries, golf injuries, running analysis and running technique. He has extensive experience with osteopathic treatment, including postural related injuries, headaches, joint sprains, pregnancy related pain, tendon injuries and other sporting injuries.
Clinical Social Worker / Psychotherapist

With a Master’s Degree in Social Work, from the University of Toronto, he specializes in trauma, crisis intervention, and chronic pain management. He is able to assist as a psychotherapist to help his clients with problem-solving skills, as well as incorporate strategies to allow clients to take greater control over their lives.
He has worked extensively in the public and private sector over his entire career, which makes him uniquely positioned to help clients navigate the sometimes complexities within the system such as Worker’s Safety Insurance Board (WSIB), insurance companies claims through personal injury and accessing the challenges of the healthcare industry.

Helen is a Certified Human Resources Professional who has extensive experience in the medical field. Her most recent experience was a Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of People and Regulatory for an airline affiliated to one of the largest carriers in Canada.
Helen’s goal is to ensure the quality control of the Don Valley Health & Wellness – Sports & Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Centre, ensuring patient care is at the forefront of day to day operations and working with insurance providers and medical practitioners to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
